"KAULEHELEHE" is one in a group of vintage travel posters from "Hawaiians in the Pacific Northwest" series. Hawaiians or "Kanakas" were established with Fort Vancouver in 1829 and living in the Village, one of the largest settlements in the West during its time. The artwork tells the story of William Kaulehelehe and his wife Mary Ka`ai and their time at Fort Vancouver.
